MMHE signs long-term fabrication deal

The company said the framework agreement is for a period of two years with an option for extensions.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd (MMHE) says its wholly-owned subsidiary, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd, has entered into a long-term collaboration with Modec’s Mooring Solution Business unit to fabricate Sofec-branded products.

It said in a stock exchange filing the framework agreement between the parties follows the initial contract under which MMHE was selected to fabricate the internal turret mooring system for a floating liquefied natural gas project.

The company said the framework agreement is for a period of two years with an option for extensions.

“The framework agreement is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings per share, net assets per share, gearing, share capital and shareholding structure of the company for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026,” it said.

“The board of directors, upon considering all the relevant aspects of the framework agreement, is of the opinion that entering the framework agreement is in the best interest of the company.”
