Enra subsidiary signs MOU with Boustead for Navy systems and support services


KUALA LUMPUR: Enra Group Bhd said its indirect 70%-owned subsidiary Enra Energy Solutions Sdn Bhd has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Boustead Holdings Bhd to explore opportunities in maintenance, repair and overhaul services for naval propulsion and power generation systems, as well as lifecycle support for surface vessels operated by the Royal Malaysian Navy.

Boustead is an investment holding company wholly-owned by Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera.

Enra said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia the parties will collaborate on targeted naval projects, including joint participation in tenders, sharing of technical expertise, and coordinated business development efforts.

The collaboration will also explore the development of codification capabilities, including parts identification, standardisation, and logistics support frameworks.

The MOU shall remain in effect for one year and expire on 20 April 2027. 

In light of the announcement, trading in Enra shares were halted at 11.48am, and shall resume after the lunch break at 2.30pm. The shares were untraded on Tuesday, and were last traded at 65 sen apiece the previous day.
