KUALA LUMPUR: PMB Investment Bhd has announced an income distribution of 2.39 sen per unit for the PMB Shariah Dividend Fund, amounting to a total gross distribution of RM1.34 million for the financial year ended March 31, 2026.
In a statement today, the Islamic fund management company operating under Pelaburan MARA Bhd said the fund's net asset value (NAV) stood at 27.06 sen per unit, settling at 24.67 sen post-distribution.
"Based on the closing NAV as at March 31, 2026, this translates to a distribution yield of 10.03 per cent, with the fund recording a total return of 11.54 per cent over the same period.
"With a double-digit yield and a strong overall return, our Shariah Dividend Fund continues to distinguish itself as a compelling income-generating option, offering an alternative to conventional savings instruments and fixed deposits for investors seeking both returns and ethical investing,” it added.
PMB Investment noted that the dividend fund is structured for consistent income generation, allocating between 70 per cent and 99.5 per cent of its NAV to Shariah-compliant equities and equity-related securities, while the remaining portion is invested in Islamic money market instruments, sukuk, Islamic deposits, and other Shariah-aligned assets, with a long-term objective of outperforming traditional fixed-income products.
Meanwhile, the fund management company said its Shariah Index Fund recorded a distribution of 2.50 sen per unit, totalling RM1.15 million.
"The NAV per unit was 55.85 sen before the distribution, adjusting to 53.35 sen thereafter, reflecting a distribution yield of 4.89 per cent for the financial year, with a total return of 9.17 per cent over the same period,” it said.
PMB Investment said both distributions were credited on March 31, 2026, with the reinvestment date set for April 1, 2026.
Chief executive officer Hang Tuah Amin Tajudin said that over the past five years, the PMB Shariah Dividend Fund has delivered a cumulative return of 41.62 per cent, demonstrating its capacity to generate both income and capital growth.
At the same time, the PMB Shariah Index Fund posted a 24.0 per cent cumulative return, remaining closely aligned with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia EMAS Shariah Index.
