Sasbadi bags RM17mil government job


PETALING JAYA: Sasbadi Holdings Bhd has secured a RM17.2mil contract from the Ministry of Education (MoE) to publish, print and supply textbook packages under the new school curriculum 2027.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Sasbadi said its wholly-owned subsidiary Sasbadi Sdn Bhd (SSB) and its indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary, The Malaya Press Sdn Bhd, have inked five letters of acceptance from the MoE.

The contract period is from April 9, 2026 to April 8, 2029.

SSB and The Malaya Press are expected to deliver the first tranche under the contracts, valued at RM13.7mil, to schools nationwide beginning August 2026.

Accordingly, the contracts are expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the Sasbadi group for the financial year ending Aug 31, 2026 and onwards.
