KUALA LUMPUR: Here is a recap of the announcements that made headlines in Corporate Malaysia.

Bumi Armada Bhd has proposed a RM1.95bn capital reduction to erase RM1.45bn in accumulated losses, leaving RM498.6mn in retained earnings.

Orkim Bhd is acquiring the oil and chemical tanker Rich Sunda for USD24.2mn (RM97mn) from Singapore’s Wealth Sail Shipping Pte Ltd mainly funded by IPO proceeds.

EP Manufacturing Bhd is acquiring 18.8 acres of industrial land in Alor Gajah, Melaka for RM35.1mn to expand vehicle assembly and component operations.

Media Chinese International Ltd is selling 1.9 acres of land in Toronto for CAD9.9mn (RM28.7mn) after shutting its Canadian media operations.

Paragon Globe Bhd is partnering Shanghai-listed GSP Automotive Group to develop a 47-acre automotive hub in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

Capital A Bhd, still under Practice Note 17 status, is targeting a dual listing in Hong Kong by August. CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said bankers have been appointed and board approval secured.

AirAsia X Bhd is not cancelling flights despite rising jet fuel costs from the Middle East conflict, said adviser Tan Sri Tony Fernandes.

Shangri-La Hotels (Malaysia) Bhd said its unit UBN Tower Sdn Bhd renewed related-party tenancy agreements for office space at UBN Tower, Kuala Lumpur, at 3% higher rental rates effective April 2026.

Empire Premium Food Bhd, operator of Empire Sushi, corrected its IPO prospectus to reflect RM254mn fundraising. The offer for sale now totals RM101.5mn, with fees at RM2.3mn.

Vantris Energy Bhd, formerly Sapura Energy, returned to an operating profit of RM142.4mn in 4QFY26 from a RM104.0mn loss a year earlier, driven by lower provisions, reduced finance costs and impairments, marking progress towards exiting PN17 status.

Crescendo Corp Bhd’s  4QFY26 net profit fell 60.1% YoY to RM1.04mn despite revenue rising 16% to RM82.4mn, dragged by higher operating costs and losses at a subsidiary following factory relocation and setup.

Kawan Renergy Bhd posted a 17% rise in 1QFY26 net profit to RM5.8mn, driven by higher revenue.
