Eckem gets Bursa's approval for ACE Market listing

KUALA LUMPUR: Eckem Holdings Bhd has secured approval from Bursa Malaysia Securities for a proposed listing on the ACE Market.

The group is principally involved in the distribution, sales and application formulation of speciality industrial chemical products, which forms the core of its business and contribute the majority of its revenue.

It is also involved in the manufacturing and trading of rubber products comprising personal care and lifestyle products.

The group's proposed initial public offering (IPO) comprises a public issue of 125 million new shares and an offer for sale of 62.5 million existing shares.

The allocation for the Malaysian public entails 31.25 million new shares or 5% of the group's enlarged issued share capital. Half of these shares will be made available to public investors, while the other half will be allocated to Bumiputera public investors.

Meanwhile, another 31.25 million new shares will be allocated to eligible directors ad employees of the group through pink form allocations.

The group will reserve 15.63 million new shares or 2.5% of the enlarged issued share capital for private placement to Bumiputera investors approved by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (Miti).

A further 46.88 million new shares of 7.5% of the group's enlarged issued share capital will be placed to selected investors.

Additionally, there will be an offer for sale of 62.5 million existing shares or 10% of the group’s enlarged issued share capital by way of private placement to Bumiputera investors approved by Miti.

The IPO proceeds will primarily be utilised for the construction of a new corporate office, warehouse and laboratory, as well as the expansion of a new production line for the Group’s rubber products segment.

A portion of the proceeds will also be allocated towards the repayment of bank borrowings and working capital requirements, while the remainder will be used to defray estimated listing expenses.

M & A Securities Sdn Bhd is the principal adviser, sponsor, underwriter and placement agent for the IPO.
