Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia senior director Chris Tan said the newly launched Jaecoo J5 is expected to contribute to the brand’s expansion in the local SUV segment as it continues to strengthen its product lineup in Malaysia.

"Our focus is not just the numbers. We want to bring in the right product for our market and make sure our customers are happy,” he said after the launch of the SUV here today.

Although the company did not disclose specific sales targets, it remains optimistic about sustaining its strong growth.

The brand recorded sales of over 7,040 vehicles in 2024, which accelerated in 2025 when deliveries surged 153 per cent year-on-year to 17,849 units.
