KUALA LUMPUR: Yayasan Peneraju (YP), an agency under the Ministry of Economy, is introducing a Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) membership fee rebate to support its accounting talents.

The rebate, marking YP's 14th annuversary, is available to eligible alumni who still have an outstanding repayment balance with YP, with successful applicants receiving up to RM850, which will be deducted from their outstanding amount, for the 2026 membership year.

"Through the fee rebate we are introducing this year, we encourage YP talents and alumni in the profession to take the next step towards achieving CA (Malaysia) and strengthening their professional standing,” said YP CEO Ibrahim Sani in a statement.

“This initiative is designed to remove a practical barrier at a critical stage in an accountant’s journey, so our Bumiputera accounting talents can take the next step with confidence and remain highly valued by employers.

"At the same time, the initiative reinforces responsible repayment behaviour, allowing us to recycle funds into new financing packages and extend opportunities to the next wave of Bumiputera talents.”

To qualify, applicants must meet two sets of criteria. First, applicants must fulfil MIA’s eligibility requirements for the CA (Malaysia) designation.

Second, applicants must meet YP’s rebate criteria by meeting the minimum repayment requirement, either a minimum 30% repayment or an initial payment of RM2,000.

The rebate is limited to one application per applicant for the year 2026.
