KUALA LUMPUR: PR1MA Corporation Malaysia has appointed Brian Iskandar Zulkarim as its group chief executive officer (CEO), effective Jan 1, 2026.

He takes over from Datuk Seri Mohd Nazri Md Shariff, who helmed the position since May 4, 2020.

Before this appointment, Brian Iskandar served as CEO of Bandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a government-linked company (GLC) under the Ministry of Finance Malaysia.

"Under his leadership, the 196.27-hectare Bandar Malaysia development was advanced, including the formulation and approval of the Bandar Malaysia Master Plan encompassing mixed-use developments and strategic infrastructure, with a gross development value (GDV) of RM173 billion,” said the property developer in a statement today.

Brian Iskandar also led a public-listed company as Group CEO and Damansara Realty Bhd managing director, where he oversaw key initiatives, including the development of Bandar Damansara Aliff in Johor and Bandar Damansara Kuantan in Pahang.

He previously served at Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) as CEO of its subsidiary, Urusan Teknologi Wawasan, as well as general manager of transformation management and overseas ventures.

Meanwhile, PR1MA chairman Datuk Azrulnizam Abdul Aziz said the appointment reflects PR1MA’s commitment to strong, stable, and performance-focused leadership continuity.

"We are confident that he will continue the momentum and solid foundation that have been established, while introducing new strategic and progressive approaches aligned with the current needs of the housing industry and the aspirations of Malaysians.

"We also extend our appreciation to Datuk Seri Mohd Nazri Md Shariff for his significant contributions in driving the corporation’s improvement efforts and strengthening its operational structure during his tenure at PR1MA,” he said. - Bernama
