Pintaras Jaya's unit bags works subcontract worth RM35.5mil

KUALA LUMPUR: Pintaras Jaya Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Pintaras (East Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, has won a subcontract for a proposed bridge construction in Kuching, Sarawak, worth RM35.5 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the construction company said the scope of works includes earthworks, piling, pile caps, bridge abutments, piers and bridge superstructure works, and shall commence immediately for a duration of 29 months.

"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the contract is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of the Pintaras Jaya for the duration of the contract.

"The contract will not have any effect on the share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings of the company. The group also intends to fund the contract through internally generated funds,” it said. - Bernama
