Hartanah Kenyalang unit to construct Sibu prison for RM275.33mil


KUALA LUMPUR: Hartanah Kenyalang Bhd said its wholly-owned subsidiary Hartanah Construction Sdn Bhd has accepted a design-and-build contract from the Public Works Department for the construction of a prison in Sibu, Sarawak, for RM275.33mil.

It said in a stock exchange filing, the contract is for a period of 36 months starting Feb 9, 2026, and ending on Feb 8, 2029.

"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial year ending Oct 31, 2026 and until the completion of the contract period," it said.
