MCE Holdings' subsidiaries to supply components for new Proton car model

KUALA LUMPUR: MCE Holdings Bhd said its subsidiaries have secured contracts to supply electronics and mechatronics components to Proton for a new car model.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Bhd and MCE Hentuo Sdn Bhd, will supply these components to Proton from the first quarter of the financial year ending July 31, 2027, for a period of 84 months.

It said the project is expected to generate revenue of about RM37.9mil for the group while the estimated total investment cost is RM730,000.

"Being entrusted with this project reflects a partnership forged through decades of collaboration, and Proton’s confidence in our ability to meet demanding requirements as a long-term partner,” said group managing director Goh Kar Chun in a statement.

He added that the project supports MCE’s continued participation across multiple car models and is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets per share over its duration.
