KUALA LUMPUR: MLABS Systems Bhd
said it will miss the deadline to issue its annual report for the financial period ended Sept 30, 2025, citing the need for additional time to complete its audit.
“The delayed in the issuance of the Annual Report 2025 was mainly due to the additional time needed by the company to complete its audit and the company wishes to provide more time for the external auditors to complete the audited financial statements for the financial period ended Sept 30, 2025,” Mlabs said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
The company, which is engaged in research and development in videoconferencing and mobile application solutions, is working with its external auditors to finalise the audit expeditiously.
Notwithstanding the delay, Mlabs expects to issue the annual report within two weeks from the date of this announcement.
Under Bursa Securities’ rules, failure to issue the outstanding annual report within five market days after the deadline — by Feb 9, 2026 — could result in a suspension of trading in the company’s securities, effective Feb 10, 2026, unless otherwise determined by the exchange. The suspension would be lifted on the market day following the issuance of the annual report.
If the annual report is not issued within six months from the expiry of the deadline, Bursa Securities may commence delisting procedures against the company.
