TRC Synergy Bhd wins RM249mil construction job


PETALING JAYA: TRC Synergy Bhd has secured a contract from Gilang Cendana Sdn Bhd for a construction project in Putrajaya, worth RM249mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the construction firm said the project involves the proposed design, construction and completion of new complex buildings consisting of warehouse and office block, exhibition block, sub-basement parking and associated works at Lot 45, Precinct 5, Putrajaya.

“The project will not have any effect on the issued and paid-up share capital, substantial shareholders' shareholdings, net assets per share and gearing of the company and its subsidiaries.

“Barring unforeseen circumstances, the board is of the opinion that the project will contribute positively to the earnings and earnings per share of the company in the future.”

TRC Synergy said none of the directors of the company, its substantial shareholders or persons connected with the directors and substantial shareholders has any interest in the project.

“The board, after having considered all aspects of the award, is of the opinion that the project is in the best interest of the TRC Group.”
