Simon Crowther named Mondelēz's new Malaysia, Singapore MD

KUALA LUMPUR: Mondelēz International, the maker of Cadbury Dairy Milk, OREO, Chipsmore and Jacob’s, has appointed Simon Crowther as managing director for Malaysia and Singapore, effective Jan 1, 2026.

In a statement, the company said Crowther will lead the company’s strategic growth agenda, commercial operations and brand development across the Malaysian and Singaporean markets.

Crowther brings more than 16 years of global and regional experience at Mondelēz International, with leadership roles spanning marketing, sales and category development.

He most recently served as marketing director for seasonal confectionery at Mondelēz UK, where he led innovation and portfolio strategies across key festive and gifting occasions, one of the UK confectionery market’s most commercially significant segments.

Crowther succeeds Narmeen Khan, who has taken on a new role at another organisation.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, he will lead a team focused on shaping the future of snacking in Malaysia through innovation, responsible growth and consumer-centric experiences. His appointment reflects the company’s commitment to developing internal talent and strengthening a diverse global leadership bench.

Mondelēz International has a long-standing presence in Malaysia with manufacturing facilities in Shah Alam and Prai, serving both domestic and export markets.
