EV dreams, petrol reality


THE expectation was that the removal of the tax holiday for electric vehicles (EVs) would have meant that people will be paying more for their electric cars from 2026.

The reality, however, it that many EV selling prices have remained unchanged in 2026 from levels seen when the tax holiday was introduced in 2022.
