Central Global to be reclassified under construction sector from Jan 12


KUALA LUMPUR: Central Global Bhd (CGB) will be reclassified under the Construction sector and Construction sub-sector on Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd, effective 9 am on Jan 12, 2026.

The company is currently classified under the Industrial Products & Services sector and Packaging Materials sub-sector.

Bursa Malaysia, in a statement, said the stock number and stock short name for CGB will remain unchanged.

The reclassification was made at the company’s request, based on changes in business activities and the contribution of its core business to financial results.

“The update in the classification of sector and sub-sector serves to ensure that all investors and industry participants are informed on the latest developments in public listed companies across the Bursa Securities’ Main Market, ACE Market and LEAP Market,” Bursa Malaysia said.
