TRC Synergy secures RM550.8mil Penang LRT project


KUALA LUMPUR: TRC Synergy Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Trans Resources Corporation Sdn Bhd (TRC) has secured a RM550.8mil contract related to the Penang Light Rail Transit (LRT) Mutiara Line project.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said TRC accepted the award from SRS Consortium Sdn Bhd for the LRT Pulau Pinang Mutiara Line CMC1 sub-package.

The scope of works covers the construction and completion of viaduct guideways and stations, SBG launching, post-tensioning and grouting works, as well as other associated works.

“Barring unforeseen circumstances, the Board is of the opinion that the project will contribute positively to the earnings and earnings per share of the TRC Group in the future,” TRC Synergy said.
