Global airline system disruption affects check-in, boarding at Malaysia Airports

KUALA LUMPUR: A temporary disruption involving a global passenger processing system used by multiple airlines worldwide is affecting check-in and boarding processes at airports in Malaysia, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd said today.

In a statement posted on its official social media platform, Malaysia Airports said the disruption may impact passenger processing, prompting airlines operating at its airports to activate contingency procedures.

"The situation across all our airports is being closely managed, with passenger safety and comfort remaining our top priority,” it said.

The airport operator added that self-service kiosks remain fully operational, allowing passengers to print boarding passes and baggage tags.

"Travellers are advised to follow guidance from airline and airport teams at the terminal, check directly with their airlines for the latest flight schedule updates, and proceed with online check-in where available,” it added. - Bernama
