George Kent wins RM34.5mil contract from Prasarana


PETALING JAYA: George Kent (Malaysia) Bhd has been awarded a RM34.5mil contract by Prasarana Malaysia Bhd (Prasarana) for the design, supply, delivery, testing and commissioning and warranty of a rail profiling machine for the Kelana Jaya Line (KJL).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the engineering and metering company said the project commenced on Dec 16, 2025 and will be completed within 24 months.

“This award demonstrates George Kent’s technical expertise and strong track record in delivering specialised rail engineering solutions.”

Looking ahead, George Kent said it remains optimistic on opportunities in the rail and infrastructure sector.

“Leveraging its extensive experience and technical know-how, the Group is well-positioned to continue contributing to the development and sustainability of Malaysia’s public transportation network.”

George Kent specialises in the turnkey construction of water infrastructure and hospital projects, system works for rail transportation, and operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities.
