Pharmaniaga buys RM26mil Sabah property


The company said the acquisition is in line with its obligation under the Concession Agreement dated Jan 3, 2023, with the Malaysian government.

PETALING JAYA: Pharmaniaga Bhd is acquiring a single storey factory with a two-storey office within the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park in Sabah from Yang Guang Furniture (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, for RM26mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the pharmaceutical company said the acquisition is in line with its obligation under the Concession Agreement dated Jan 3, 2023, with the Malaysian government.

“It is also consistent with Pharmaniaga’s expansion strategy to enhance its logistics and distribution capacity, particularly in the state of Sabah, thereby improving efficiency in serving customers and supporting future business growth.

Pharmaniaga said the acquisition is not expected to have any material effect on its earnings and earnings per share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025 (FY25).

It also said the acquisition is not expected to have any material effect on the group’s net assets, net assets per share and gearing for FY25.
