KUALA LUMPUR: MCOM Holdings Bhd
said it will diversify into data centre and IT hosting services as well as the sale and leasing of IT-related hardware, infrastructure and computer equipment as it seeks new sources of revenue to turn around its prospects.
The group, which currently provides mobile advertising platform services and mobile payment solution and management services, said the target customer base for its new businesses includes both corporate customers as well as individual and retail customers.
"While the operations of the new businesses are not confined to any specific user industry, we expect the demands will primarily come from end-users who are involved in or exposed to digital assets," it said in a stock exchange filing.
The group, which recorded a total revenue of RM350,000 in the financial year ended June 30, 2025, said operations were significantly affected by the cessation of services to customers with long overdue balances to mitigate the exposure of credit risk and losses.
With the new business segments, the group said it expects sustainable and long-term prospects as it participates in the growth of the ICT industry and digital assets market.
The group will fund the business diversification through a combination of internally generated funds and external borrowings.
"If necessary and deemed appropriate, the group may undertake future fund-raising exercises to raise additional capital to fund the business diversification," it said.
