KUALA LUMPUR: Pekat Group Bhd
said Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd has appointed its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Pekat E & LP Sdn Bhd as a subcontractor to undertake earthing and lightning protection systems for the Hyperscale Data Centre at Eco Business Park V in Puncak Alam, Selangor.
In a stock exchange filing, the group said the contract, which has an estimated value of RM33.8mil, will commence in November 2025.
In a separate announcement with Bursa Malaysia, the group said a wholly-owned subsidiary, Pekat Teknology Sdn Bhd, has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with University Kebangsaan Malaysia to explore a potential collaboration in support of its development into a smart, green and sustianable campus.
It said the collaboration would include the joint implementation of renewable energy systems, energy management solutions, and sustainability education initiatives.
"The proposed collaboration supports Pekat’s strategic focus on renewable energy solutions and sustainability initiatives, while strengthening industry - academia cooperation for the development of clean energy technologies and talent
development," it added.
