Powerwell wins data centre jobs worth RM9.5mil

PETALING JAYA: Powerwell Holdings Bhd, via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kejuruteraan Powerwell Sdn Bhd, has accepted a supply contract and a purchase order for the supply of switchboards and components in relation to a data centre project in Selangor, worth RM9.48mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the electricity distribution products specialist said the contracts were secured an international construction firm and mechanical and electrical engineering company.

“The orders are expected to be fulfilled by the first quarter of calendar year 2026.”

“The orders are expected to contribute positively to Powerwell’s consolidated earnings and net assets for the financial year ending March 31, 2026,” it said.

Powerwell managing director Catherine Wong Yoke Yen said: “The latest award highlights Powerwell’s continued role in supporting the nation’s growing demand for reliable power solutions in data centre developments.

As of end-June 2025, the group’s outstanding order book stands at around RM117mil, excluding the contract.
