Greenyield appoints acting chief executive

PETALING JAYA: Greenyield Bhd has appointed Lalith Shamshir Shamsul as acting group chief executive officer (CEO), in place of Tham Kin-On who stepped down as group CEO for personal reasons on Sept 19.

The 37-year-old Kin-On is the son of non-executive chairman Tham Foo Keong, who holds a direct 17.69% stake in the agricultural systems company.

Kin-On had been on Greenyield’s board since December 2016 before being appointed as the group CEO in February this year.

Lalith Shamshir is a chartered accountant, and has held various financial and accountancy roles across a slew of companies, including as chief financial officer and senior finance manager at Proeight Sdn Bhd.
