Aussie economy in good place, though risks loom

SYDNEY: Australia’s economy is in a good place, its top central banker says, while slowing inflation and a resilient labour market mean policymakers have room to ease policy further if needed to deal with shifting risks.

Appearing before lawmakers, Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) governor Michele Bullock said the recent rate cuts were expected to support spending by households and businesses.
