Omesti associate wins RM5.53mil Education Ministry contract

KUALA LUMPUR: Omesti Bhd’s 49%-owned subsidiary Formis Network Services Sdn Bhd (FNS) has secured a RM5.53mil contract from the Education Ministry for the supply of desktop computers under a lease-to-own arrangement.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the information and communication technology services group said the 51-month contract will run from Sept 9, 2025 to Dec 8, 2029.

The contract covers the lease of 666 units of desktop computer Type 1 and 56 units of desktop computer Type 2 for teaching and learning purposes at matriculation colleges in the ministry’s southern zone.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the revenue, earnings per share and net assets per share of Omesti Group and is not expected to have an immediate material effect on the gearing of Omesti Group for the financial period from April 1, 2024 to Sept 30, 2025,” it said.
