PETALING JAYA: The ringgit, now trading at about RM4.22 against the US dollar, is projected to gain further ground through the rest of 2025 and in 2026 as analysts flag fiscal risks in the United States and stronger domestic fundamentals.
Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd chief economist Afzanizam Rashid expects the local unit to trade between RM4.15 and RM4.20 against the greenback by year-end, and between RM4.10 and RM4.15 in 2026.
