KUALA LUMPUR: CelcomDigi Bhd recorded a set of positive results in the second quarter of the year (2QFY25) on the back of continued revenue growth in the postpaid and home and fibre segments.

The telco's quarterly revenue was RM438.94mil, up from RM406.02mil in the previous corresponding quarter.

Earnings per share climbed to 3.74 sen from 3.46 sen in the comparative quarter.

CelcomDigi reported revenue of RM3.18bil in 2QFY25 as compared to RM3.11bil in 2QFY24.

For the six-month period, the telco's net profit was RM822.71mil against RM782.48mil in the year-ago period, while six-month revenue was RM6.39bil compared to RM6.28bil in 1HFY24.

It declared a second interim dividend of 3.8 sen per share, going ex on Sept 11, 2025, and payable on Sept 30, 2025.

According to CEO Datuk Idham Nawawi, the second-quarter performance reflected its strong focus on driving long-term profitable growth, prudent capital spending and operational excellence across the company.

"We are pleased that our strategy and priorities are yielding expected returns, even against increasing competition and shifting market dynamics," he said in a statement.

By segment, CelcomDigi's postpaid revenue rose 3.8% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM1.08bil as its number of subscribers rose 5.8% y-o-y. There was also a higher take-up of convergence plans, and strong performance from roaming and value added-services (VAS).

Average revenue per account (Arpa) rose RM2 to RM107.

In the prepaid segment, revenue stood at RM1.05bil, following a 2.9% y-o-y drop in subscribers due to IT rationalisation initiatives. Average revenue per user in this segment was unchanged at RM28.

Hone and fibre revenue leapt 45.2% to RM61mil, driven by the uptake of CelcomDigi One plans as well as robust demand for high-speed, instant connectivity through fixed wireless access

(FWA) solutions.

Revenue from enterprise solutions was up 10.3% y-o-y from sustained demand for connectivity, ICT, and cybersecurity services. CelcomDigi said the performance was further reinforced by a steady stream of major enterprise contract wins.
