Rhone Ma profitability improves

PETALING JAYA: Rhone Ma Holdings Bhd is confident that the global animal health industry is poised for sustained growth.

This will be driven by rising demand for advanced veterinary solutions, greater emphasis on preventive care, and rapid technological advancements.

It said that the projected market expansion is supported by factors such as the globalisation of food supply chains and the increasing commercialisation of livestock farming.

Releasing its results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2025 (2Q25) yesterday, Rhone Ma saw net profit jump 27.6% year-on-year to RM3.5mil, despite a 2.6% revenue dip to RM55mil.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, the group said the improved profitability was mainly due to the increase in gross profit of food ingredients compared to the preceding year’s corresponding quarter as a result of lower cost of materials.
