ITMAX appointed as Selangor Intelligent Parking operator for Subang Jaya

KUALA LUMPUR: ITMax System Bhd’s 70%-owned subsidiary, Selmax Sdn Bhd has been appointed by Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) to be its Selangor Intelligent Parking (SIP) operator.

In a statement, ITMAX said under the SIP, Selmax will be responsible for deploying, managing, and operating all gazetted car park spaces under MBSJ’s jurisdiction.

The 10-year appointment includes a 5-year extension option. Under the agreement, Selmax will receive 50% of parking-related revenue through a revenue-sharing arrangement.

Managing director and chief executive officer William Tan Wei Lun said the appointment as SIP operator for MBSJ marks a strategic entry for ITMAX into Selangor.

He said the partnership underscores the company’s commitment to helping local councils improve parking management through advanced technology solutions.

“Our smart parking solutions have already delivered measurable success in other cities, and we are confident they will support MBSJ’s vision for a more connected, efficient, and sustainable urban ecosystem.

“This initiative is also aligned with Selangor’s broader Smart City agenda, and we are proud to play a role in driving its digital transformation in cities with an integrated smart city infrastructure, enabling better mobility, improved public safety, and enhanced quality of life for citizens,” Tan said in a statement.
