Bursa Malaysia ends lower as investors await US tariff outcome, policy clarity


KUALA LUMPUR:  Bursa Malaysia closed in the red on Friday after two consecutive sessions of gains as investors pocketed some profit while adopting a wait-and-see stance amid ongoing negotiations between Malaysia and the United States to secure a 20 per cent tariff rate.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) shaved 6.56 points, or 0.43 per cent, to close at  1,533.76, compared to yesterday’s close of 1,540.32.
