Acafta meetings a step forward


KUALA LUMPUR: The 14th Asean-Canada Free Trade Agreement (Acafta) trade negotiating committee and related meetings mark a significant step forward in advancing a modern, high-quality, and mutually beneficial Asean-Canada FTA.

The meetings were convened in Kuala Lumpur and gathered nearly 250 delegates from all Asean member states and Canada.

The meetings were hosted and supported by the Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry chief negotiator Vimala Murugan.Discussions were on the consolidated workplan, 2025 targets and deliverables, and updates from subsidiaries. —Bernama
