MN Holdings wins RM29.3mil TNB power project in Johor

KUALA LUMPUR: MN Holdings Bhd has secured a RM29.3mil contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) for extension works at the Tanjung Langsat Industrial Estate transmission substation in Johor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, MN said the contract was awarded to its wholly owned subsidiary, MN Power Transmission Sdn Bhd (MNPTSB).

The contract involves the extension of two new 132-kilovolt (kV) transformer bays at the existing 132/33kV transmission main intake (PMU) at Tanjung Langsat Industrial Estate (2x90MVA), using air insulated switchgear (AIS).

MN said the contract is effective from July 3, 2025, with a completion period of 540 days from the commencement date.

MNPTSB is required to furnish a performance security of RM1.465mil, representing 5% of the contract value, within 56 days from July 3.

MN expects the contract to contribute positively to its future earnings and net assets per share upon commencement.
