KUALA LUMPUR: OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Bhd has introduced the OCBC Stitch Debit Card, marking the first Disney-themed debit card in Malaysia.

In a statement, the bank said the launch is part of a five-year strategic collaboration with Disney, aimed at delivering meaningful and engaging experiences to customers.

OCBC and Disney first announced their strategic collaboration in October 2024, covering three of the bank’s core markets: Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

The launch of the Stitch-themed debit card marks the beginning of the collaboration in Malaysia, where OCBC Bank aims to introduce more family- and fan-focused experiences for its customers in the coming months.

OCBC Bank head of consumer financial services Sammeer Sharma said the Bank looks to bring storytelling, imagination and emotional resonance into the world of banking through products and activations inspired by Disney.

“This is a fresh way for us to connect even more deeply with our customers and delighting them in ways that go beyond what tends to be expected. With more Disney-themed offerings on the horizon, we are bringing a touch of fun and imagination to the everyday banking experience of our customers,” he said.

He also added that the bank expects to gain an increase of 100,000 in new-to-bank current and savings account customers through the collaboration in the next 24 months.

The OCBC Stitch Debit Card is available to anyone who has or opens an OCBC 360 Account. In conjunction with its launch, the bank is organising a contest that gives participants a chance to win a specially curated trip to Hawaii inspired by Disney’s live-action “Lilo & Stitch”.

Any OCBC card member can participate in the contest, which runs from May 5 to July 31, 2025 for a chance to win the exclusive prizes.
