UDA Holdings appoints Johari Shukri Jamil as CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: UDA Holdings Bhd (UDA) has appointed Johari Shukri Jamil as president/chief executive officer effective today, replacing Mohd Salem Kailany.

In a statement today, UDA said Johari Shukri's more than 28 years of experience in the corporate sector and leadership, as well as his achievements in transformational change and value creation, are expected to be the key pillars in steering UDA’s growth phase.

UDA chairman Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini said the Finance Ministry and the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry approved the appointment.

"Johari Shukri is expected to inject new ideas and reforms via fresh dimensions, methods, and approaches, while prioritising UDA’s original objective of fulfilling the bumiputera socio-economic development agenda,” he said.

Among the other positions previously held by Johari Shukri were executive vice-president of Business Development and the Transformation Office at Iskandar Investment Bhd, and various senior positions within several Johor Corporation companies. - Bernama
