WTEC inks agreement to develop foam products

KUALA LUMPUR: Foam product manufacturer WTEC Group Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding with Jiangsu ChengFeng New Materials Co Ltd (Winfun Foam) to jointly develop and customise polyurethane foam products.

China-based Winfun Foam manufactures and develops advanced polyurethane-based products that are widely used across industries such as automotive, aerospace, rail transportation, healthcare, electronics, water treatment and air filtration.

In a statement yesterday, newly listed WTEC said the collaboration also involves supplying and distributing speciality polyurethane foam materials, undertaking market development initiatives within Asean countries and providing technical support.

“The collaboration leverages both parties’ technical expertise, manufacturing capabilities and regional market networks,” the company said.

WTEC group managing director Tan Kok Kheng said the collaboration combines the technical strengths and manufacturing excellence of both companies, enhancing their ability to offer high-performance solutions in a growing market.

“It will strengthen our presence in the automotive and electrical and electronics sectors and enable us to better meet the evolving needs of customers across Asean,” Tan said. — Bernama
