Advancecon appoints Alicia Chin as new CFO


KUALA LUMPUR: Advancecon Holdings Bhd has appointed Alicia Chin Mei Yoke as its new group chief financial officer.

Chin, who was most recently the assistant controller and transformation leader at multinational energy tech firm Baker Hughes, succeeds Tan Chee Keong who stepped down from the role to pursue other professional interest.

According to a satement announcing her appointment, during Chin's service at Baker Hughes, she was responsible for financial operations across two global hubs, and transformation initiatives for a team of over 600 personnel.

Prior to that, Chin was employed at American conglomerate General Electric in various finance-related functions.

Chin's appointment comes at a pivotal time for Advancecon as the construction engineering firm continues to pursue infrastructure growth, expand its renewable energy portfolio, and elevate its governance and financial reporting standards in line with stakeholder expectations.
