KJTS unit wins water project for Thai resort


PETALING JAYA: KJTS Group Bhd’s subsidiary in Thailand, KJTN Engineering Co Ltd, has been appointed the contractor by Central Hua Hin Beach Resort Co Ltd for the chilled water plant improvement project at the five-star Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin in Hua Hin, Thailand.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, KJTS said the contract came under a finance, retrofit, operation, maintenance and transfer scheme for a duration of 20 years.

Under the deal, KJTN Engineering shall finance the retrofit works amounting to 194.98 million baht (RM25.3mil) for Phase 1, and 15.52 million baht for Phase 2.

KJTN Engineering will charge a monthly fixed fee of 1.47 million baht and 1.56 million baht upon the completion of Phases 1 and 2 respectively, as well as a monthly variable fee based on the chilled water supplied.
