Cloudaron disposes of unit for RM4mil

PETALING JAYA: Cloudaron Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Cloudaron Pte Ltd, is disposing of its entire stake (representing 1.3 million shares) in Clouddesk Technology Pte Ltd to Chen Huanhuan for RM4mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the information technology service management firm said Clouddesk was incorporated in Singapore, principally providing information technology solutions, specifically in delivering hybrid desktop virtualisation and development of software and applications (except games and cybersecurity).

“The proposed disposal is not subject to the company's shareholders' approval. The disposal is not conditional upon any other proposal undertaken or to be undertaken by the company,” it said.

For the first half of the financial period ended Sept 30, 2024, Cloudaron reported a net loss of RM29mil compared with a net profit of RM655,000 in the previous corresponding period, primarily attributable to a trade receivable impairment of RM24.77mil and lower gross profit generated from business activities.

Revenue plunged to RM23.24mil from RM114.12mil previously.
