Able Group chairman charged with abetment of dishonest misappropriation

KUALA LUMPUR: Able Global Bhd announced that its executive director/executive chairman, Ng Keng Hoe, was charged on March 25, 2025 with abetment of dishonest misappropriation under Section 403 of the Penal Code.

Ng has denied the charges and claimed trial.

The dairy manufacturer and tin can maker, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, said the charges were not directly related to the company. It added that the transactions mentioned in the charges were linked to civil disputes in the Malaysian courts.

“The board is closely monitoring the situation. At this point, Ng’s administrative and executive functions remain suspended.

“The interim working management committee which was established to oversee the executive functions of Ng shall continue to support the company’s ongoing operations,” it said.
