PETRONAS Gas announces adjusted tariffs for 2025

KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Gas Bhd (PGB) has announced the adjusted tariffs for its gas transportation and regasification facilities, effective Jan 1-Dec 31, 2025, under the Regulatory Period 2 (RP2) framework.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, PGB said the new tariffs, approved by the Energy Commission (EC) on March 11, apply to the Peninsular Gas Utilisation (PGU), Regasification Terminal Sungai Udang, Melaka (RGTSU) and Regasification Terminal Pengerang, Johor (RGTP).

Under the revised structure, it said the PGU transportation tariff has been adjusted from RM1.063 per gigajoule per day (GJ/day) to RM1.049/GJ/day.

The compression tariff for the supply of high-pressure gas to Singapore has been reduced slightly from RM1.616/GJ/day to RM1.609/GJ/day.

Meanwhile, the regasification tariff for RGTSU has increased marginally from RM3.455/GJ/day to RM3.456/GJ/day, while the RGTP regasification tariff has been revised downward from RM3.165/GJ/day to RM3.149/GJ/day, it added.

PGB said the adjustments are part of the Incentive-Based Regulation (IBR) framework and the Third-Party Access (TPA) mechanism.

"The IBR Tariff Adjustment is an annual process under the IBR framework to account for changes in relation to reserved firm capacity and internal gas consumption as allowed under the IBR Framework by EC," it said.

The updated tariffs are available on PGB’s website.
