Hasrul Azuan steps down as HeiTech Padu CEO

Hasrul quit barely three months after being appointed CEO on Dec 23 last year.

KUALA LUMPUR: Heitech Padu Bhd has announced the resignation of its chief executive officer (CEO), Hasrul Azuan Mohd Yusof, effective yesterday.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said Hasrul will pursue other career opportunities.

“The board has commenced the formal process of identifying a candidate for the CEO position, and an announcement will be made at the appropriate time,” it said.

Hasrul quit barely three months after being appointed CEO on Dec 23 last year.

He took over from Salmi Nadia Mohd Hilmey, who voluntarily relinquished all her positions, including as group managing director, on the same day.

Salmi held the managing director position for just over eight months after being appointed to the position on April 3.

She is the daughter of the group’s non-executive director Datuk Seri Mohd Hilmey Mohd Taib who holds a 3.6% direct stake and a 12.79% indirect stake in the company through his private vehicle Padujade Corp Sdn Bhd. For the financial year ended Dec 31, 2024, the company’s net profit dipped to RM6.69mil from RM7.16mil a year earlier, while revenue rose to RM337mil from RM277.86mil.

In a filing on its financial results last month, the group said while the global environment is expected to be challenging, it believes growth of the Malaysian economy will be driven by robust expansion in investment activity.
