Kerjaya Prospek secures RM11.36mil Andaman Island job


KUALA LUMPUR: Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd has accepted a contract valued at RM11.36mil from Tajung Pinang Development Sdn Bhd (TPDSB) for the construction of a Gurney pedestrian ramp, access to Gurney and all associated works at Tanjung Pinang on Andaman Island, northeast Pulau Pinang.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Kerjaya Prospek said the contract hall commence on March 19, 2025, and to be completed within 15 months from the date.

TPDSB is an indirect subsidiary of Eastern & Oriental Sdn Bhd (E&O), whose major shareholder and executive chairman, Datuk Seri Tee Eng Ho, is also a major shareholder and non-independent non-executive chairman of Kerjaya Prospek.

"The acceptance of the contract is in the ordinary course of business of KPM and is undertaken on an arm’s length basis, based on normal commercial terms which are not more favourable than those generally available to the public," said the group.

The contract is expected to provide an additional stream of revenue for the group over the next one  year.
