Ringgit ends slightly higher against greenback amid cautious sentiment

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit ended slightly higher against the US dollar on Tuesday, as investors remained cautious ahead of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting scheduled for March 19, according to an analyst.

Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd chief economist Dr Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid said the FOMC meeting is critical as market participants will be observing the latest macroeconomic projection, especially the Federal Funds Rate (FFR).
