Handal Energy appoints Irmmie Josfina as CFO


PETALING JAYA: Loss-making Handal Energy Bhd has appointed Irmmie Josfina Abd Rahman, the sister of its executive vice-chairman, as the chief financial officer (CFO).

Irmmie is the sister of Datuk Mohd Idzwan Izuddin Ab Rahman, who is also the single-largest shareholder with a 5.91% stake.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the oil and gas services company said the 49-year-old Irmmie has over 20 years of experience working across diverse organisations.

She most recently served as CFO at UMD Energy Sdn Bhd from 2020 until February 2025. Prior to that, she was the chief executive officer of Clicksoft Sdn Bhd from 2016 to 2019.

Irmmie holds a degree in accounting and finance from the University of Sunderland, UK.
