Pecca and Zhejiang Tenchen explore joint venture for automotive seating solutions

KUALA LUMPUR: Pecca Group Bhd and Shanghai-listed Zhejiang Tenchen Controls Co Ltd have announced plans for a potential joint venture in Malaysia to drive innovation, development, and production of automotive seats and accessories.

In a statement, the automotive leather upholstery manufacturer said both companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today, outlining their intent to leverage their combined expertise to deliver high-quality seating solutions for the local passenger vehicle market.

Pecca contributes local market knowledge, industry connections, and regulatory expertise, while Zhejiang Tenchen brings design and manufacturing capabilities in advanced seating solutions.

Pecca executive director Hugo Teoh Zi Yi said the collaboration with Zhejiang Tenchen was a defining moment for the company, marking a significant step forward in its journey to strengthen its position in the automotive upholstery market.

“By integrating Zhejiang Tenchen’s advanced technologies and design expertise with our manufacturing capabilities, we are poised to offer innovative and high-quality seating solutions that meet global standards, including assembly for major brands.
