Shareholders deserve clarification on TMC Life’s vague statement

Hospital operator TMC Life Sciences Bhd booked a loss in the second quarter ended Dec 31, 2024 (2Q25), which the company had previously flagged in a profit guidance statement issued late last month, pointing to “the effects of termination and discounts of customer contracts”, a statement also repeated in the notes to the 2Q25 financial performance review.

This loss marks the company’s first since early 2020, when it reported a loss in the March-to-May 2020 quarter due to the effects of the Covid-19 lockdown.
