MNRB net profit rises to RM116mil

PETALING JAYA: MNRB Holdings Bhd is maintaining a cautiously optimistic outlook for the current financial year.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the reinsurance firm said it is confident that the steadfast execution of the various identified initiatives under its business plan will result in a credible performance.

For the third quarter ended Dec 31, 2024, MNRB’s net profit rose to RM115.86mil from RM84.61mil in the previous corresponding period, mainly due to the higher insurance service result, driven by growth in revenue and improved claims experience as compared to corresponding period.

Revenue during the quarter grew to RM936.68mil from RM808.55mil a year earlier, due to the growth in the reinsurance, general takaful business, offset by a reduction in the retakaful business.

For the nine-month period ended Dec 31, 2024, MNRB’s net profit rose to RM300.80mil from RM195.72mil last term.
