MAHB takeover offer deadline extended to Jan 24


KUALA LUMPUR: The closing date and time for the acceptance of the offer by the consortium Gateway Development Alliance Sdn Bhd (GDA) for shares not already owned by the offerors in Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) have been extended to Jan 24 from Jan 17.

This marks the second extension of the offer, which was previously moved from the original Jan 8 deadline to Jan 17.

In a statement, AmInvestment Bank – on behalf of the offeror – confirmed that, apart from the new closing date, all other details and terms of the offer remain unchanged.

As of Jan 15, the joint offerors and joint ultimate offerors collectively hold 86.18% of MAHB shares.

MAHB closed down four sen to RM10.90 with 1.01 million shares traded.

To recap, Khazanah Nasional Bhd, together with the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and GIP Aurea Pte Ltd, formed a consortium called GDA and made an offer to take MAHB private at RM11 per share.
